Reducing obesity rates can alleviate the economic burden on healthcare systems by decreasing the prevalence of obesity-related conditions. We present a multimodal paradigm integrating a localized community-scale individual-based model (IBM) with a population scale system dynamics (SD) model to analyze long term results of potential policy interferences for obesity prevention, The N&PA related health actions of individuals change dynamically relative to endogenous impacts within their social network and exogenous influences from industry-based publicizing and public health-related counter-marketing and educational operations.
